Cyber Security Analyst | Permanent | Perth

Brunel Australasia are seeking a Cyber Security Analyst to join a high-profile integrated energy company to ensure strong cyber security practices are adopted and maintained across all business units. This role will be based in the client's Perth office with a flexible work pattern.

  • You will be required to apply your knowledge of cyber security management methods and supporting frameworks
  • As the successful applicant you will demonstrate understanding of the relationship between cyber threats and mitigating technical and administrative controls
  • The business will rely on your ability to conduct risk management within a cyber security context
  • High level of written and oral communication throughout business is expected
  • Proactive business analysis skills
  • You will have working knowledge within a program for Cyber security

Requirements

  • Excellent stakeholder management and inter-personal skills
  • Empathetic to conflicting priorities involving information security

  • Knowledge of security frameworks including those from ISO, NIST and CIS. Application of security engineering within various development environments such as Waterfall, Agile and DevOps
  • Knowledge of the latest cyber security threats with a focus on social engineering, phishing and other end-user specific threats
  • Vulnerability management processes and technical remediation methods including, but not limited to, the application of software patching

  • Address security advisory and governance requests through the Security Operations Management resolver groups
  • Develop regular Cyber Security reports suitable for senior management and executives in liaison with technical team members and relevant stakeholders

  • Promote the security assurance function across all impacted teams to foster a collaborative and engaged approach to the application of security controls
  • Tailor security awareness and educational material in liaison with various diverse business units
