Market Access Manager


About this role

We are currently hiring a Market Access Manager for our client who is a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on innovative prescription pharmaceuticals in the Canadian market.

This role is a permanent position working remotely, where minimal travel would be required once it is safe to do so.

Reporting to the VP of Commercial Operations, Canada, this full-time position will be responsible for developing and implementing market access initiatives that contribute to and support the long-term growth strategies of in-licensed specialty products and product launches. This includes but is not limited to leading pricing, reimbursement, payer research and competitive landscape assessments.
· Lead, design and develop optimal and competitive pricing strategies through a strong understanding ofPMPRB’s framework
· Lead, design and develop optimal and competitive reimbursement strategies that can be applied to publicand/or private markets across therapeutic areas
· Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders in the development of such strategies· Lead and develop clinical and reports pharmacoeconomic reports as well as budget impact analyses· Meet with payers to present clinical and pharmacoeconomic benefits of Knight’s in-licensed products· Understand provincial listing processes and procedures as they apply to Market Access· Track, monitor and evaluate competitor pricing and reimbursement strategies· Manage pricing and formulary listing databases and ensure price lists are accurate and up to date· Work closely with Medical, Regulatory Affairs and Commercial to ensure successful new product launch· Recommend pricing and reimbursement strategies on new product acquisitions for Business Development· Serve as primary reference point for provincial authorities regarding related product inquiries· Continually look for opportunities to improve internal pricing and reimbursement processes· Ad hoc projects as required.


· Bachelor’s degree in Sciences, Life Sciences, Business, or related fields.· Minimum 2 years of experience in Market Access, Reimbursement or Pharmacy Benefits Manager role.· Extensive knowledge of PMPRB· Extensive knowledge of provincial and public formularies and pCPA Frameworks.· Extensive experience working with CADTH and/or pCODR.· Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation experience (eg pCPA, PLAs).· Excellent Communication (written and oral)· Microsoft Office Suite proficiency (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
