About this role

Seeking an Upstream Site Scheduler and Planner to work in the Surat Basin. This will be for a contract lasting 3 months starting ASAP.

Brunel Australasia are currently partnered with our client who is one of Australia’s leading natural gas producers. They have a great reputation for creating a safety-focused culture, whilst they expand their operations in Queensland’s onshore gas reserves.

  • Coordination of site planning and scheduling activities for Upstream Projects
  • Assist in the development of project schedules
  • Produce level 5 construction schedules in conjunction with Construction Manager
  • Produce estimates in line with scope of works and schedule, with Construction Manager
  • Produce daily & weekly progress reporting as required
  • Shutdown scheduling & interface with Operations & Turnaround groups
  • Interface & schedule works in line with Commissioning and Start Up, Operations and Maintenance day to day works
  • Key interface role between project design stage, including engineering & procurement & site execution
  • Identify opportunities to improve schedule outcomes
  • Assist Management in levelling resources across a portfolio of work.

People Management

  • The contractor must abide by company policy in relation to HR policies and procedures such as annual HR cycle and meet deadlines within the appropriate timeframes

Health Safety Security and Environment (HSSE)

  • Every individual has a duty to both themselves and those around them to ensure that safe practice is adhered to at all times. In addition to any specific accountabilities for HSSE, all Contractors are accountable for HSSE within their area of the Business and are responsible for ensuring that their team (if applicable) adopt exemplary HSSE behaviours
  • All Contractors are expected to be aware of, and adhere to the Business Principles at all times under Conduct, Our People, Society and HSSE and to participate in relevant training
  • Advocating Goal Zero



  • Minimum 5 years' CSG experience – Major Shutdown & Upstream Projects works onsite
  • Experience in project planning & scheduling
  • Ability to assist Management in levelling resources across a portfolio of work
  • Competent in PrimaVera 6 (P6)
  • Maximo experience preferred
  • Reports to Construction Manager
  • 10/4 Roster possible 15/13
  • Site-based role in the Surat Basin
